Students from courses like BAMS, MD/MS Ayurveda and BUMS have been asked not to enroll for the Ayush course. In Bengaluru, Ramakrishna Ayurvedic Medical College Hospital and Research Center has been denied to accept admissions for BAMS and MD/MS Ayurveda, Hillside Ayurveda Medical College has been denied for BAMS and Indian Institute of Ayurvedic Medicine too has been denied for running BAMS this year.
Other colleges are in districts like Chitradurga, Hubli, Shivamogga, Sulia, Haveri, Badami, Tumkur, Dharwad, Bijapur, Belgaum, Bagalkot, Nipani and Gulbarga.
A circular from RGUHS said, “The colleges have to strictly follow the instructions by Government of India with respect to not making any admissions for the said courses for the year 2019-20. If any admissions are found to be made, strict action will be taken against such institutions as per rules.”
