Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCIMST), Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala – 695011, an Institution of National Importance, Dept. of Science &Technology, Govt. of India, has invited applications for admission to the Master of Public Health (MPH) Degree and Diploma in Public Health (DPH) course to be conducted at Achutha Menon Centre for Health Science Studies (AMCHSS).
MPH is a 24-month full-time residential program commencing on 1st July 2020. Medical graduates (MBBS), Dental graduates (BDS), Graduates of AYUSH [Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), Bachelor of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences (BNYS),Bachelor of Unani Medicine & Surgery (BUMS),Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery (BSMS),Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS)], BTech or BE (any branch) and graduates of four-year degree programs in Veterinary / Nursing sciences, Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, Bachelor of Pharmacy, or students with a postgraduate degree in Statistics/Biostatistics, Demography, Population Studies, Nutrition, Sociology, Economics, Psychology, Anthropology, Social Work, Management or Law may apply. Work experience in a health-related field is desirable.
Upper age limit is 40 years as on 1.7.2020. Age relaxation may be given as per Government of India policy and in exceptional cases.
Selection will be based on educational qualifications, professional experience in public health, a written test (multiple choice questions) and an interview.
Entrance Exam will be held at Trivandrum, Hyderabad and Kolkata.
For admission to the one year Diploma in Public Health (DPH), applicant should be MBBS doctors working with state/central government departments/agencies for their capacity building in public health with 3 years in Government service after MBBS. Upper limit will be 50 years as on 1.7.2020. The course will be held from July 2020 to June 2021.
If there are more than ten applications, the selection will be based on the performance in a written test (multiple choice questions) and interview. The written test/interview will be held at SCTIMST-AMCHSS, Medical College PO, Thiruvananthapuram -695 011.

Application Fee for MPH/DPH is Rs.1000/- (Rs. 800 for SC/ST candidates). The payment is to be done online only. Applicant should take a printout of the online application as it is mandatory to bring the printout of the filled application form duly signed along with original certificates to prove age, qualification and experience at the time of entrance examination/Interview along with self-attested copies of the documents specified.
