
Chennai: Admission for Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Science (BNYS) at government and self-financing medical colleges in Tamilnadu will be based on marks scored in science (physics, chemistry and biology or botany and zoology) in higher secondary course examination, said the Directorate of Indian Medicine and Homeopathy.
There is one State-run institution with 60 seats available for counselling and seven self-financing non-minority colleges (358 seats surrendered for government allotment and 192 management quota).
According to an official press release, applications and prospects can be downloaded from www.tnhealth.or or collected from Chennai Government Yoga and Naturopathy Medical College, Palayamkottai, Government Siddha Medical College, Nagercoil, Government Ayurveda Medical College and Thirumangalam (Madurai) Government Homoeopathy Medical College till 19 July. A demand draft for Rs 500 should be drawn in favour of ‘Director of Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy, Chennai-106’ payable at Chennai.
Students belonging to SC/SCA/ST are exempted form the fee and application can be received by submitting self-attested photostat copy of marksheet and community certificate. The last date for submission of filled-in application with the necessary documents is 22 July, 5.30 pm.
