This family has a natural sweet tooth.

So when Mark and Rebecca Binstock’s daughter, who has food allergies, asked for cotton candy on her birthday, they gladly agreed.

Since they weren’t able to find any cotton candy locally to fit their daughter’s nutritional needs,  they chose to make their own. They mixed simple ingredients with their own sugar from the produce in the garden. This eventually turned into a business called Simple Sugar.

Simple Sugar spins fresh cotton candy. But, instead of using pre-packaged, pre-flavored mix, they use a ‘simple’ recipe of beet sugar, flavor, and coloring.  The flavors are inspired by North Dakota, with most flavors taken from the extracts and juices of local produce. They use flavors like rhubarb, grape, chokecherry, lemon raspberry, and coffee.

It’s perfect for any celebration, with a variety of colors, sizes, and flavors.

You can find them at BisMarket every Saturday or check out their Facebook page here.
