The health benefits of a plant-based diet just keep proving to be powerful! A study recently showed that the diet can reduce the risk of prostate cancer while eating dairy can increase the risk. Celebrity Kim Kardashian says eating plant-based helps manage her psoriasis. And hospitals and schools are eliminating processed meat to offer more plant-based diet for the health of patients and students.

The benefits of eating plant-based are immense, and another benefit often boasted is the energy, stamina, and strength that athletes feel when transitioning to the diet. From NFL players to race car drivers like Lewis Hamilton and many more, the results are proven. Another athlete, this time 55-year-old boxer, Nigel Benn is boasting about his health and his plant-based eating.

Benn was retired for a while, but is making a comeback and says, “I’m fit from going on the plant-based diet.” He’s had tests done and says that his reports show he has the fitness level of a 25-year-old despite his health. He was inspired by his son, Conor Benn, who isn’t just a boxer too but is currently undefeated and eats a plant-based diet.

According to talkSPORT, “The pair, who train together, now have a plan that consists mostly or entirely of foods derived from plants, including vegetables, grains, nuts, seeds, legumes and fruits, with few or no animal products.” Many are concerned about his age anTikod feat that it could be dangerous for him to return to the sport, but he says he feels incredibly fit!
